Enjoy vacations at the foot of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, the hiking and mountain biking paradise
Alpine skiing, hiking and traditional Törggele evenings in South Tyrol
Culinary delights and breathtaking views
The local area, including Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, is ideal for a variety of activities such as Törggelen evenings, hiking, mountain biking or Alpine skiing.
Hiking & mountaineering
Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Europe's highest alp, is a real hiking paradise. Explore soft, curvy Alpine meadows, quaint, traditional Alpine huts and the superb, fascinating peaks of the Dolomites mountain range. Hikers and mountaineers can take their pick from Alpine excursions, high-altitude walks and stunning climbing trails (only in German or Italian).
Our favorite trip: Take a rest in the cozy traditional parlors of Rauchhütte hut at Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm.
Cycling and mountain biking
Many adventurous trails start right at Lafogl farm and lead up to the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm resort. Alternatively you can also try the valley cycling route in Val d'Isarco/Eisacktal. Road cyclists will be fascinated by the nearby Dolomites mountain passes. In summer, a variety of cycling classics are hosted in the area, such as Sellaronda Bike Day and Maratona dles Dolomites.
Golf in South Tyrol
The 18-hole golf course in Castelrotto/Kastelruth in San Vigilio/St. Vigil is located at only five minutes' drive from Lafogl farm. You can find a further six panoramic gold courses in South Tyrol.
Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing
In winter, the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm resort becomes a truly spectacular winter sport region. Take your pick from 60 kilometers of sunny Alpine ski pistes or 80 kilometers of cross-country tracks. Alternatively, you may want to discover the romantic scenery during a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
Törggelen
From October to December, the locals get together for traditional Törggele evenings in South Tyrol's prime wine region. This old tradition is based around the young wine, which was accompanied by local products. In traditional Buschenschank wine taverns you can also try must and hearty culinary delights such as Schlutzkrapfen (spinach dumplings) and cold dishes. The meal is always rounded off by roasted chestnuts and dumplings. You will love the home-made wine on the farm.
Lafogl farm is the best place for such social, entertaining evenings.
